ALOS QUARTET

Alos Quartet gave its first footsteps in 1999. It is formed by a group of musicians with a broad experience in both modern and classical music. Other than working with a variety of different orchestras, the group members are also part of different folk groups such as Oskorri, Benito Lertxundi... Not only that, they are also some of the regular collaborators of several music projects in the Basque Country.

The group's extensive repertoire is based on a string quartet that explores diverse areas of modern music creating a new point of view that naturally immerses in waters of different styles without prejudice.

Since the beginning, Alos Quartet has created a long list of concerts and records. One of the strongest collaborations has been with the portuguese singer, Dulce Pontes, with whom they have visited a number of the most important theaters both in Spain and in Portugal (for example they have offered concerts in Madrid’s Convention Center, Barcelona’s Auditorium, the Lisbon Coliseum Theater, etc.)

Alos Quartet has also worked with different artists, some of which are Kepa Junkera, Oskorri, Carlos Nuñez, Oreka TX, Ken Zazpi, Esne Beltza, La Buena Vida, Los Piratas, El Hombre Burbuja, Bide Ertzean, Angel Unzu, etc.

Furthermore, the quartet has taken part in many Festivals: Donostia-San Sebastián Musical Fortnight, Musikaste, Torroella’s National Music Festival..
