Central and South American have become a hotbed for hot beats over the past decade because of passionate DJ/producers such as Memo Insua.

For the past 5 years Memo has been very active as a DJ and producer in his native Mexico. As the saying goes, two minds are better than one, so when it comes to producing Memo does he best work when teamed up with like minded producers, such as Daniel Martinez aka Daniel Larusso, who is his Mi & M partner. Over the past six years these duos have created songs of substance; they twist and turn from melodic progressive tracks to deep funky grooves. Never tiring of hearing new music, his lust for that hot new bassline keeps driving him to become better and better at this science we call house music.

His sounds are varied for anytime of the night, whether it be a peak time bomb or a down tempo track for the early hours such as the beautiful breaks melody ‘Your Love Shines Through’. Labels such as the Groove Collection, Avangardia, Proton Music, Witty Tunes and Sick Watona have all signed his tracks and they have gained support from established names such as John Digweed , Timo Maas Jimmy Van M, Ricky Ryan , Deep Mariano , Johan Vermeulen , and Dave Seaman ensuring they have been played the world over.

Equally crafty behind the decks Memo knows how to work a crowd, easing them into the night before the mania of Memo’s peaks time tracks take control. Memo has learned from the best, being able to share the decks with infamous DJs such as Sasha, James Zabiela, Anthony Pappa and Danny Howells. So if you ever head down to Mexico you know which DJ you should be hearing, whether you get to Mexico or not his tracks will find you!

Early in 2010 Memo and partners ,Frank Kenfold (Mexico) and Hisham Zahran (Egypt) came together to create a new label called Union Jack records. The music they share crosses boarders and unites everyone with the same passion for amazing new house beats. With the impeccable taste these three DJ/producers share they were able to becoming extremely successful with their first release, being Dana Bergquist & Peder G- Acapulco, whose Sasse remix was included on Balance 17 compiled by Timo Maas. With such a great start I think we can expect big things from Union Jack so stay tuned!
