The Fifth Sun is a concept album based on the story of the Aztec Empire at its height until its conquest in 1521, as seen through the eyes of a young Mexica boy, as he grows to adulthood. The lyrics are drawn from Aztec poetry & historical accounts, and the narrative arc is inspired by Gary Jennings' historical novel Aztec.



At this point the band is rehearsing the new material for live performance and we plan to introduce it into our live set over the coming months. The longer-term plan is to use The Fifth Sun as the centrepiece of a theatrical & multimedia live performance, with additional performers & artists.

At the time of writing the album is nearing completion but not mixed or mastered, and the clips used in the Fifth Sun medley on this page are from early test mixes.
