Hello and welcome to my first drum lesson video. In the lesson, you will learn to super-impose 4/4 swing over top of 7/4 vamp. The Vamp comes from the tune "Thick Red" written by my friend Dustin Shaskin, and I recorded with his band, "The Cafe Ole" on the album "Cuanto Tardaré" (Released 2007 TIKA records, produced by Roberto Occhipinti)

Toronto based drummer, Max Senitt, has been playing music for longer than he can remember. He started in his crib, kicking the side with a surprisingly steady pulse. By the age of seven, interest in "skillful banging" continued to escalate, and a drum set was appropriately purchased. Now at the age of Thirty five, Max shows no signs of slowing down. The beautiful sounds of music from all around the world continue to inspire and feed his deep thirst for musical knowledge. He has performed all across Canada and United States, throughout the Caribbean, South America, and Europe. Presently the drummer for 2 time Juno Award winner, 2010 Latin Grammy Award winner (for best new artist) and American Grammy Nominee (for best Latin Pop Album 2011) Alex Cuba, he has also worked with such artists as: Hilario Duran, Carol Welsman, Eliana Cuevas, The Flying Bulgars, Beyond the Pale, Etienne Charles, and Elizabeth Shepherd. Max Senitt is endorsed by Evans Drumheads, and Headhunter Drumsticks.
