For years, Mateo Murphy has been an integral part of the Canadian dance music scene, holding down a residency at the Montreal institution Aria and releasing on Turbo and Underwater Records to name a few. After several chart-topping remixes for Wide Angle Recordings, Mateo returns to the label with Recovery, an original production of epic proportions.

The Original Mix of Recovery is best characterized as a monstrous 10 minute build. Don't let the duration scare you though, as the thick bassline, warm progressive harmonies, and piercing warped synths are more than enough to keep you hooked from start to finish.

The stripped back Dub mix forces attention to the carefully crafted piercing synths of the original. The result is a hybrid techno bomb with captivating effects on the dancefoor.

The remixes come from two new faces to the Wide Angle Recordings roster, although both names will be familiar to fans of the label. Nick Bugayev ignites the Original mix with a hypnotizing new spin on the melody while Shabu Recordings frontman Axel Helios creates a dazzling broken beat reinterpretation.
