Bob White tribute - Video
PUBLISHED:  Dec 31, 2010
DESCRIPTION:
BOB WHITE was always a willing participant; he brought panache and criticism to an otherwise uniformed hardcore scene. He was a rebel within a rebellion. Often the butt end of the show, he intentionally ended up on the bottom of many pig piles which differentiated Boston Hardcore from other cities -- he was the jokester who added levity to what some mistakenly perceived as a militant scene. Bob was a dandy! When we first started doing the Boston Punk Rock Oral History Project (BPROHP), Bob was one of the first to sign on and spill his guts on camera; never one to be censored. Later, when the project took another direction and we needed to interview Bob again, he willingly showed up looking like Mr Peanut or Colonel Klink; hair tied back donning a monocle. Although Bob didn't get to enjoy the festivities of the Gallery East Reunion Show and reminisce with all who knew him, he was certainly there in spirit through his contribution to the 'xxx All Ages xxx' film. Looking back on 2010 we'd like to remember Bob White for being a part of the film and for being a part of the Boston 1980's Punk Rock culture. - Duane Lucia (Executive Producer) Edited by Drew Stone.
