"Oh, that Voice!" she sighed, echoing thousands of those who worship at the temple of Mark Lanegan.

"Well, wait until you hear his cover of Cat People..."

"I already have," she replied. "There must be a biofeedback monitor contraption thingy which measures what his voice does to your body. It's criminal that it's being sold so cheaply. It's a bit like that Amazon review for the Two Wolves and A Moon t-shirt. Great value for money. You not only get two wolves basically for the price of one but you also get a moon. I would definitely pay much more for a CD..."

Cat People - Martyn LeNoble/Christian Eigner/Mark Lanegan/Dave Gahan covering David Bowie singing about cats. For charity. Phew! Available to buy 2nd August.*

Mark Lanegan is currently touring for some lucky Americans.

Well, I've been to the Amazon jungle and first of all, it's Three Wolves and a Moon, not Two. Second of all, I bought Cat People but have not been able to hear it. I could actually have gone to South America and tracked the pugmarks of a real jaguar in that time, but no matter, I will try iTunes next - I have done that once before. If no success there or Bandcamp I will die. I need to hear it again. The best cover of a Bowie song ever.

Yay! You wouldn't believe what I've been through. In exchange for some bones I have Cat People coursing through my blood. Not my own bones I might add, though at one point I thought it might come to that. So now I have Mark Lanegan's voice growling around the pit of my stomach like a hungry lion after which I kind of sink in a bath of red-velvet chocolate courtesy of Dave Gahan. Help! Can't stop listening....

So forget the Three Wolves an a Moon t-shirt, because with this song you get Four Wolves and a Moon. And stars. And moondust. And a chocolate bath.
