In this episode of Dubspot's Wireless interview series, accomplished British electronic musician Mark Van Hoen (currently based in New York City) sits down with composer, producer, and educator Raz Mesinai for an interview. Mark Van Hoen is a founding member of influential post-rock/electronic band Seefeel, and has recorded and released music as Locust and Autocreation. His releases can be found on labels such as Editions Mego, Touch, R&S, and Apollo Records.

In this video interview Mark Van Hoen discusses his creative process, advising upcoming producers to learn and master their craft and be "spontaneous and instinctive." He also talks about the benefits of working with analog tools and gear, using Ableton Live with the Akai APC40 MIDI controller, and putting together the infamous club night/mini-festival in Brixton called Quirky in the 1990s, with guest performers and producers such as The Orb, Autechre, and Aphex Twin.
