My Name is MARCEIZE, pronounced (Markeyz). I was born in Denver, CO. My mom was forced to give up her rights to memy two older brothersand my little sister when i was three. They said it was because of *unlawful circumstances. What I understood was that she was never around and she wasn't sure where my Father was. My brothers practically raised me and my little sister up until we got into the System. My sister was adopted immediately. My brothers and I were tossed around in group & foster homes for about 5 years. We only got to see each other at Adoption Parties. At one of these parties we were spotted by the Whitfield family who seemed to have taken a keen liking to us. After a few visits to the Whitfield house we were adopted. That's when we moved to Colorado Springs. Everything was better for a while, but strict rules & religion forced my two older brothers to leave the house by the time I was a freshman in High School. I just tried to ignore what they were doing and focus on Basketball and School. I had been quietly singing for a while, but I didn't get serious about it until I heard myself on a song I wrote with a friend called "We Gon' Ride". It became a neighborhood Anthem! I was already pretty well known in my city, but this took it to a whole other level! I tried to stay focused on staying in the gym and keeping my grades up. At lunch in high school you could either catch me in the gym showing off my basketball skills, or in the music room showing off my vocal skills. I had a girlfriend who was one of baddest females in the City! She had moved there from Florida and she knew was Bad. This is who I ended up Marrying when I got out of High School in 03'. Somehow, after graduating high school I ended up in the Air Force. Two years Later, I was separated and out of the Air Force. That's when I also started doing shows and making a name for myself as a Singer, Song Writer & Producer. On May 22nd of 2006 I was on my way to an after party after leaving a show in Tucson, AZ. A close friend and I had a confrontation which led to both us being shot. He was shot in the arm, I was shot in the stomach. After a miraculous recovery I returned to Music with a new Purpose and a sense of Passion influenced by the example God's love & power. Ever since then, I've been perfecting my craft and molding my image. When I present my Message to the world it will be one like No Other! I have a Gift from God and I look forward to reaching as many Hearts and Minds as possible. "IT'S NOT WHAT YOU HAVE, IT'S HOW MUCH YOU'VE GIVEN". I've been delineated as a sexy, talented, new-school R&B singer with an old-school feel. I am a fan of a number of artists to include: Marvin Gaye, Teddy P, Luther Vandross, Boys II Men, Usher, Genuiwine, Tyrese, Tank, Jamie Foxx, (N'Sync, BackStreet Boys) BlackStreet, New Edition, H-Town, Omarion, One Republic, AeroSmithand many more. I'm a fan and lover of music as a whole. Real R&B is an almost-forgotten Art. It's time for me to be vital part of revitalizing what R&B means to the music industry.
