3:16 - God Of Wonders (by Steve Hindalong and Marc Byrd) - 01/29/12 - Video

DESCRIPTION:
I remember playing "God Of Wonders" and several other worship songs with Jason late at night on the men's renewal we attended at our church several years ago. The day before this video was recorded for this version of "God Of Wonders" Jason, John, and I went to the funeral service of one of the men that was at our renewal who had committed suicide. We happened to be eating lunch after the service in the same spot of our late night jam. I had gone to funeral service out of respect for the grandparents that I knew and I didn't even realize that I had known the deceased until Jason and I were at the funeral service when we both realized that we were at the funeral service of the "rapper" that was at our renewal. When Jason and I were asked to sing our renewal theme song (I Will Never Be The Same) at the service with some of the fellow men that attended the renewal and that were on the team I really felt like we were supposed to be there.

I wish I had talked to Matt more. The last time I saw him was at our Thanksgiving Eve service and he was one of the many people that spoke...you would have never known that he wouldn't be with us several months later as he thanked The Lord for things going on his life.

"God Of Wonders" always meant a lot and will continue to mean a lot to me. It was one of the first songs I played with 3:16 when I was asked to play bass for them by Annette when I first started with them. It is very emotional and moving song...and I will always think of 3:16 (and Matt now as well) when I hear it.
