Judy Collins 1966 recording of "Marat/Sade" has found new relevance in this year's election and the former Occupy Movement and Wall Street protests.

"Why do they have the gold? Why do they have the power? Why, why, why, why, why do they have the friends at the top? Why do they have the jobs at the top?"

"Marat/Sade," the 1963 play by Peter Weiss, is described on Wikipedia as "a bloody and unrelenting depiction of class struggle and human suffering which asks whether true revolution comes from changing society or changing oneself."

Judy Collins recording is a medley of four songs composed for the play by Richard Peaslee: "Homage to Marat," "Marat We're Poor," "People's Reaction," and "Poor Old Marat."

This recording, taken from Judy's landmark, "In My Life" album, was arranged and conducted by Joshua Rifkin.
