DESCRIPTION:
Using instruments such as alfaia, pandeiro, mineiro, triângulo, agogô and tamancos, the workshop covers the Brazilian Northeastern rhythm, Coco, its history, techniques, and its relationship with xaxado and baião.

Percussionist Lara Klaus is a graduate of Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (Brazil) and Universidade de Aveiro (Portugal). Lara regularly leads workshops in percussion and Brazilian northeastern music both in and out of Brazil.
