Maple Bee

After a childhood traveling the world's oceans on a small yacht named 'Rosie' and living in the middle east with her family, Maple Bee's passion has always been the exploration and adventure of the exotic and the unknown, with music playing the central role.
She has released two critically acclaimed albums 'Chasing Eva' and 'Home'. As well as fronting rock bands Huski, Vertigo Angels, Zu and Tabitha Zu, Maple (aka Melanie Garside) has had a diverse international solo career in which she has played guitar, bass and recorders, co-written with other writers and producers and toured and traveled extensively throughout Europe and South-East Asia promoting her work.
In 2004 she also became the bassist of her sister's band 'Queen Adreena'. Furthermore, she went on to join and contribute to the writing of the 'Mediaeval Baebes' album Mirabilis in 2003. After gaining a first class degree in psychology at University in London, she went on to complete her Masters training as a music therapist in 2010. Maple's current band Huski have a new album 'Strangelove' due out in March 2011, www.huskimusic.com. She is currently working on a new Maple Bee album with Sophie Riga De Spinoza which will be released next summer 2011.
