Manila Jeepney is very proud to release their very first 7" inch title for 2011. The main title of this release is "Yumenonakani" by Machaco, a female reggae artist from Japan who has embraced the Lovers Rock genre of the UK. Included in this 2-track 7" inch release is the very first recording of Machaco with Manila Jeepney named "So Into You". This was one of the more popular songs included in the acclaimed CD called "Reggae For Humanity Vol. 2". We are absolutely honored to have 2 reggae classics available in one 7" Inch vinyl release. Russ D & The Disciples Rhythm Section are the premier reggae riddim makers from the UK and are responsible for building the riddims for Manila Jeepney. Side-A of the release is "Yumenonakani", and the riddim of this tune is from "Six Street" by Louisa Marks. This is one of the most famous Lovers Rock releases from the UK and is definitely considered one of the greatest Lovers Rock songs ever recorded. On the flip side, "So Into You" was built from another classic riddim by Janet Kay called "Rock The Rhythm". Janet Kay is known as the Queen of Lovers Rock from England. In this case,
machaco is the Queen of Lovers Rock from Japan. All of us would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to machaco. She has a talent that we believe shines above the rest. Machaco is definitely one of the greatest vocalist coming out of Japan. It has been an honor for Raul, producer of Manila Jeepney to have had worked with her.
