In this Manic Depression guitar lesson video, I will demonstrate how to play all of this Jimi Hendrix classic note-for-note, including the guitar solos!

Before playing along with this video lesson and the original recording, you will need to tune your guitar down a half-step to (Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb).

We all know this classic main riff. It is not only relatively easy to play, but also a lot of fun to jam on once you get it under your fingers. It has a really cool groove about it that I personally just love.

So I will cover all of those riffs then take you phrase-by-phrase through Jimi’s incredible guitar solo. There are a couple of sections of this solo that are obviously improvised and a bit erratic to be able to recreate note-for-note. That is to be expected for a player like Hendrix that just goes for it in his solos. I will do my best to get it nailed down for you though.
