Groundscore is a punk rock/reggae trio out of Washington, DC. They released their debut album ‘Healthy Children’ on Dec. 9th, 2009 on SMB Records and proceeded to tour relentlessly, often doing two or three shows on a given day. Their commitment to their craft and strong work ethic would land them two US Tours supporting Clutch in 2011 one also supporting Corrosion of Conformity. They would go on to share the stage with countless amazing acts including Junior Marvin of Bob Marley and The Wailers, The Green, Iriation, and even a four-date run with Rachel Platten in upstate New York believe it or not.

Fronted by Zach Bellas on guitar and vocals, Nick Graves on the bass and Chase Lapp on the drums, Groundscore was a powerhouse of a band. Mixing all styles of Rock - from Punk to Blues to Reggae to Go-Go, sometimes all in the same song! Here’s what people are saying about Groundscore:

“The album is quickly spreading across the East Coast and overseas because of a simple and honest sound, often described as Sublime meets Neil Young or The Red Hot Chili Peppers meet UB40 and Minor Threat.” - The Pier

“GroundScore would make the perfect soundtrack to your life” - We Love DC

“With raw talent like theirs, it's only a matter of time before they're a common name around here.” - On Tap Magazine

“There’s a new face in the DC punk/reggae scene...My personal favorite track is “Hey Kidz / Real Love.” This seven-minute song really showcases each member of GroundScore’s talents.” - District of Sound

“When you think of Washington D.C., you probably imagine white marble monuments, waving flags, and gigantic halls filled with delegates and politicians. It’s just about the last place on earth you’d expect to find the next great reggae/punk band, but GroundScore may be just that.”
- Eastern Surf Magazine
