Makayla Lynn was so excited when she was asked to perform in a festival with Carrie Underwood. Makayla was a part of The Big Machine Records Showcase at the Boots and Hearts Music Festival in Bowmanville, Ontario. This was the debut year for the festival and Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher had a huge part in helping get it off the ground. What an honour for Makayla to play one of her songs! This is Jesus Take The Wheel, a song you have heard Makayla do many times that is near and dear to her heart. Not only is Carrie one of her biggest idols, but the song was written by a fellow Nova Scotia Gordie Sampson. Makayla got to meet Carrie at the festival and gave her one of her cds.
