DESCRIPTION:
In 2014, I was invited to sing at some special concerts in Ypres, Belgium, to commemorate the beginning of WW1. I suggested I write 2 songs for the events. 'Isabelle' is one of the songs.

'Knowing there would be many tough, brutal songs being sung, I decided to create something different. A song of Innocence. ' to just 'I decided to create something different, a song of innocence.'

So I imagined a 12 year old girl, playing innocently in the fields in Flanders, in April 1914.
She was happily unaware of the the horrors to come. Her name was Isabelle.

The song is one of the songs on my new record, to be released in 2016.
The image for the song is a painting by Australian artist Peta Dzubiel(www.petadzubiel.com).
