WHY DID I KILL EVERYBODY
Why did I kill everybody I know?
Why did I kill everybody that I know?
When I last saw them they were my friends
But that was long ago
So why did I kill everybody I know?
It escalated quickly and just sort of got away
From me when I realized I'd let go of the reins
So I met them with an open heart
But left them with a spade
I don't know what's come over me these days
So why did I kill everybody I know?
When i left them they were sleeping
But I'm not sure if they woke
So why did I kill everybody I know?
Their trickery and devious intent, perceived by me
May not have been quite so sinister as I'd believed
So a seed of discontent became this maladjusted tree
"I wish this was not me" (just barks and leaves)
But won't you tell me
If this never really ends
Won't you let my friends live again?
