LOVE IS WAR MUSIC is a dedicated recording label set to bringing you the worlds best in Balearic leftfield disco/house/italo/dub/funk and beyond!!

Established in May 2007, the 1st release (LIWM001) saw east London's cult electro act 1GNITION "the original" Secret Sunday Lover (as covered by ALI LOVE on Columbia)

With great acclaim SECRET SUNDAY LOVER was supported by GREG WILSON and ILIJA RUDMAN remixes. And was awarded IDJ’s tune of the month.

It is still available on 12" vinyl (in all specialist record stores) and digital download see below



The 2nd release, ILIJA RUDMAN’S critically acclaimed ‘AFTER MIDNIGHT’, (LIWM002)A moody electro funk nocturnal journey, the sort of deep new disco you would expect from the Croatian based recording artist, and which saw LIWM, consolidate its specialist DJ audience.



Remix action coming from re-edit godfather GREG WILSON, who delivered an edgy hip-hop electro workout with deep Vincent Price-esque vocal, with a psychedelic middle 8. Many describing it as some Greg Wilson's best remix work to date.



And L.S.B, London/Barcelona-based New Disco Duo, PETE HERBERT & BABY G, of Eskimo Recordings fame, coming in with a mix that bursts with disco-funk energy. Rocking the dance floors at Weekend in Berlin and Mondos in Madrid.



LIWM's 4th release hit the street on Monday July 14th and sees Italian double act SUPERSONIC LOVERS aka DJ ROCCA known also for his AJELLO project & MARCELLO GIORDANI who releases on DIRT CREW - BOOGIE FARM - MULE MUSIQ & PLAYERS PARADISE, return with another super hot New Disco Boogie 4 track E.P.

SUPERSONIC LOVER’S debut release on Radius Records “Dance, Prance and Boogie” received worldwide support and club play from the likes of Prins Thomas, Funk D'Void and Laurent Garnier.

With its deep New Disco, Metro Area vibe, their follow up, “Pinero”, on LIWM will not disappoint their Italo disco fans and avid new disco / boogie collectors alike.



A1- PINERO ORIGINAL sees the boys venture into a Deep Disco journey

With trippy arpeggio and underlying rhythms with pulsating minimal bass line



A2 -ILIJA RUDMAN PINERO REMIX sees very much man of the moment Ilija Rudman deliver a live bass and Moog disco extravaganza. With a slightly lower tempo than the original. A possible future classic?



B1- DISASTER is another original from SSL boys, more on the darker side of boogie.



B2- PINERO - MARCUS J KNIGHT - KID CIRCUS - EON REMIX

¬- Sees (LIWM Label Boss) Marcus J Knight team up with Kid Circus and long time collaborator Eon, not to mention guitar legend Simon Bartholomew (Brand New Heavies) to deliver an authentic deep new disco remix with a tech edge.

Absolutely loving the new LIWM tune. Love the Marcus J Knight - Kid Circus, and Eon mix. Will be supporting. Good work!



DAN BEAUMONT (Disco Bloodbath)

The original Pinero mix is ace. Really good builder, amazing synths (obviously!) love the subtle bongos half way through will definitely play this out - tough but melodic. Excellent production

The Marcus J Knight - Kid Circus - Eon, remix

Will definitely play out. Great mix of organic/synth sounds, well paced, keeps moving, great arrangement which works on the dance floor and the ipod!!!



JOHNNY 'CHINGAS' HILLER (Lasermagnetic)

If I had to describe the sound of the EP from scratch, I'd say somewhere between the lines of early PIGNA releases

And Spirit Catcher, but on a more mellow Metro Are kinda vibe.



For me it's all about the B Side and I like the Marcus J Knight - Kid Circus - Eon Mix best, with it's lush keys, acoustic elements (Fender & Wah Wah Guitar) and the nice warm space sounds, making it perfect for us to play out this summer!



BONAR BRADBERRY (2020, Red-Music, Asylum) - the Ilija Rudman remix sounded good at asylum great early doors !! really smooth.



SEVERINO (Horse Meat Disco)

I like the Pinero original but also the Ilija Rudman remix is cool too. I played it (already) last Monday at Horse Meat Disco's MOS radio show



MARK MOORE (S-Express)

Loving the Marcus J Knight – Kid Circus - Eon remix of ‘Pinero’, its a gorgeous slice of New Disco.
