Lou Brutus, the self proclaimed as Radio's Last Hope, King of All Mediocre and Rock Radio Rabble Rouser, has been one of the most acclaimed radio hosts of the last two decades.

Through his fourteen plus years of national syndication, nine plus years on Sirius XM Satellite Radio and succesful work in Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington DC and Providence he is an instantly recognized voice to Rock listeners across the U.S.

He has garnered tremendous amounts of positive press for both his intensely creative on air work and ground breaking original programming… all without ever running afoul of the F.C.C. Publications such as Rolling Stone, USA Today and Entertainment Weekly have sung the praises of his work.

Lou is considered to be one of the finest interviewers in radio. His deep knowledge of music has made him a favorite of artists as diverse as Metallica, Disturbed, Theory of A Deadman, Smashing Pumpkins, Rush, Tool, Slipknot, A Perfect Circle, KISS, Rancid, Saliva, S.T.P., Stone Sour, Fleetwood Mac, The Ramones and 3 Doors Down.

His roots in the music community go deep through many genres. He has the ability to move through the worlds of Active Rock, Alternative, Punk, Metal and Classic Rock with a strong understanding of each genre and connections with the movers and shakers.

His nationally syndicated “hardDrive with Lou Brutus” has celebrated its 14th anniversary and is now in its 15th season. It airs on over 120 radio stations each week and has been instrumental in helping to break such platinum level acts as KoRn, Slipknot, and Nickelback. It has become radio’s preeminent Active Rock program. The new weeknight version of the show, hardDrive XL, is also growing in reach and is heard on nearly fifty radio stations every Monday thru Friday night.

As Senior Director of Programming at Sirius XM Satellite Radio Brutus oversees New Hard Rock channel Octane, the fire breathing fury of Liquid Metal, the action sports channel Faction and the The Grateful Dead Channel. Additionally at SiriusXM he's received major kudos for building the nation’s first ever punk rock radio station Fungus 53 and the creative maelstrom of Special X. His satrad credits also include a dizzying array of microchannels celebrating Halloween, Baseball, Christmas, UFOs, driving and a myriad of other subjects. Finally, he is host for SiriusXM’s lauded Artist Confidential interview/performance series where he has welcomed an amazingly diverse array of talent including James Taylor, KoRn, Hank Williams Jr, Smashing Pumpkins, Indigo Girls, Reba McIntire, Fall Out Boy, Wynonna, Graham Nash, Snow Patrol, David Gray, George Thorogood and The Fray to name only a few.

His creative flair has led him to national success as a performer and composer with his own band with whom he has appeared on HBO and his cow punk rock opera Hee Haw Hell which was recorded by legendary swamp rock band Dash Rip Rock. He also has several baseball inspired pieces he’s written and recorded featured on the new Diamond Cuts album which he released under the moniker of Lou Brutus and the Perfect Pachydermus Percussion Pitches.

He has also produced his own series of comic books, "The Adventures of Brutusman," as well as bottled his own line of micro brewed beers "Lou-in-Brau" and "Brew Loutus Ale."

In what little spare time he has Lou also works as an on field Major League Baseball photographer. He has shot every team in both the National and American Leagues working in the photo pits at Camden Yards, Wrigley Field, Citi Field and a myriad of other ballparks.

Brutus is currently working on two different books. The first is a coffee table book on his backstage pass collection and the second is on the legendary rock band the Dead Schembechlers.
