This is from an early 80's Jerry Jeff Birthday Bash in Austin. This raw footage was given to me by Austin filmmaker, Jeanette Grainger to use in my Austin Pickers television series back in 83 or 84.
This video is not great as it's third generation, I think. I have the master in storage. But it's the video that goes with the Gonzo audio track I uploaded a few months back. This is vintage and rare Outlaw Hubbard and Gonzo video. ENJOY!
On a side note...I know Ray would like to forget the early days but this is MY personal favorite RWH period. Ray and the Gonzos cooked! This was funky country rockin' & rebelin' music long before anybody labeled it Americana. This video is proof positive that these cats were one of the best bands in the land. I've said it before and it's gospel...The left coast had The Dead, the Jersey Shore had Springsteen and Texas had Ray Wylie Hubbard and the Lost Gonzo Band.
