A closer look at MP3’s...
Today I thought it would be interesting to have a brief look at the Mp3 codec and shed some light on the quality issues we face when converting our music to this format.
Mp3’s love them or hate them, are the standard in today’s music industry. To the audiophile they are akin to a fine dining food experience diluted down to a cheap and tasteless fast food imitation. To the average listener they sound just fine. And let’s face it, they do, that is until you perform a listening test that I’ll take you through to reveal what’s really going on underneath the hood.
All examples in this video have been level matched so that fair comparisons can be made.
