Artist Biography: Cozy, reggae-rock with an occasional pinch of punk-rock. THE TiPS are a young, energetic, three-piece band which exudes a laid back positive attitude towards life. Far from a trivial two-toned music, these guys blend a light-footed ska sound with roots-reggae, rocking grooves, and high energy punk rock.

THE TiPS enchant their live audiences by effortlessly switching back and forth between musical styles, volume, and moods. Singer Ali moved to the United States when he was 18 years old, and there became exposed to the Sublime sound. Jay, and Faf were more influenced by aggressive styles of music, and lyrical contents while growing up in the skateboarding scene. The band's mellow tunes are suitable for pool-parties, barbeques, vacations at the beach, or picking up your sprits on a gloomy day. The aggressive tunes are perfect for skateboarding, snowboarding, political protests, or football highlights.

Their debut album HIGH SOBRIETY was their ticket to festivals such as Open Flair or Weedbeat, as well as sharing gigs with artists and bands such as Sammy Deluxe, Max Herre, ZSK, and MxPx.

On November 22nd band will be proud to announce their second release: TRIPPIN'. The cover art was designed by the world famous tattoo artist, and Long Beach Dub Allstar member Opie Ortiz. Mr. Ortiz designed the well known "Sublime Sun" which Sublime used for its 1996 multi platinum release. This new album by THE TiPS, TRIPPIN', comes in an elaborate 6-panel digipack.
