Sur une lointaine planète interdite, au milieu d’une bataille entre robots, en posant des fleurs sur la tombe de Stanley Kubrick, entre deux pages cornées d’un comics annonçant pour une énième fois la mort de Superman, dans les ruelles brumeuses de Whitechapel, ou en roulant sur les etendues nord-americaines, London Must Fall (c’est à dire Arnaud et sa guitare) est un projet solo antifolk. Arnaud a le declic après un concert de Tender Forever à Toulouse et se lance dans une folk influencée par les New-yorkais Jeff & Jack Lewis, Adam Green, Kimya Dawson mais aussi par Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Love, Yo La Tengo et autre Nick Drake, autour d’un univers très influencé par les super-heros, le cinema et les pulps d’épouvante… Le nom 'London Must Fall' est directement inspiré du From Hell d'Alan Moore et du groupe The Fall.

On a distant, forbidden planet, in the middle of a fierce fight between rusty robots, by putting some roses on Stankey Kubrick’s grave, between the pages of an old comic book annoucing once again the death of SuperMan, in the foggy streets of whitechapel, whille driving without a purpose on the streets of L.A., or just by watching a Seinfeld rerun, here is London Must Fall. It’s just me, Arnaud 28, movie screenwriter to-be, and my folk project. I started to think about doing music on my own in February 2006, just after a Tender Forever gig in my hometown, Toulouse, France. I’m influenced by the NYC antifolk scene (Jeff Lewis, Adam Green, Kimya Dawson) but also by Johnny Cash, Nick Drake, Bob Dylan and many many more. I’m trying to conceive a universe inspired by the movies (b-movies as a matter of fact) and the sounds I like, as well as my lousy personal life. And for the record, London Must Fall has not been picked because of the nazi mission code for the Uk invasion, but because of Alan Moore’s comics and Mark E. Smith's band, the Fall.

London Must Fall ended up to cut a deal with the authorities to gain sobriety and devotion from hypothetical non-existing fans. Once settled down, he'll give his heart to science to solve the riddle that blackens his soul.
