DESCRIPTION:
Billy Murray sings "I'd Rather Be a Lobster Than a Wise Guy" on Aretino A1181, a Leeds & Catlin pressing (1908). The machine is a transitional Aretino (1909), made just after Columbia took over H&S's assets. The case is a Hawthorne & Sheble, but the mechanism is by Columbia. (This is the same machine that is pictured in Tim Fabrizio and George Paul's book "Discovering Antique Phonographs."
