The best Romanian minimal can add something to just about any house set. Whether it's through clever drums, an effective bassline or quirky samples, a well-placed cut from one of the country's main players can often tweak the atmosphere inside a club for the better. Bucharest duo Livio & Roby's latest effort, Nici Cu La, should do exactly that, offering up three loopy DJ tools that'll lighten the mood in the early and late hours.

The title track is the definite highlight. An endearing female vocal is cut up and looped for its entirety, backed up by a bouncy kick that barely lets up. "Lock" is a bit tougher, relying on rhythm more than anything else in the package. It's probably the only track that will receive much peak-time play, which might ultimately mean it gets lost amidst the sets it'll form a part of. Nici Cu La's closer, "En Double," is cut from the same cloth as the title track. It's blissful and smoky, again creating a unique, breezy mood that could work wonders with a crowd up for some subtlety.
