Underwater Ruins (Relaxing Atmospheric Soundscape) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 31, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
This was made with Reason 8. I intended it to be a slow, atmospheric, underwater-themed song with a relaxing atmosphere that people could listen to while trying to fall asleep, or while simply trying to relax. I hope you enjoy it.
Critiques are appreciated, and if I see a criticism which I completely agree with and if I think that listening to the critique will benefit the piece, then I will go back into Reason and edit the song, and replace the audio of this video with the new version of the song. Credit to the person who gave me that critique will be shown in the description.
I originally intended this to be a soundtrack for a video game. Imagine an old mansion, sunk below the waters and lost to time. The front doors have long since deteriorated, leaving a way for you to enter the ruins. As you swim through the doors, you look at your surroundings. You are in a Foyer, with mirrored staircases going upwards, and an entrance on your level where another door has deteriorated. You once again decide to take advantage of the passage of time and swim through the unblocked entrance. You find yourself in the middle of a vast open room, with arches and staircases leading to other rooms all over the large mansion. Light shines in through a large sunroof, turning the water it touches a beautiful cerulean blue, which fades into the darkness where the waters which are hidden from the light, under the arches and beneath the stairs. You look around and see that it is safe. There are no enemies to be seen here, and you have enough oxygen to last a lifetime. You decide to rest, to just float, drifting beneath the endless waves...
