DESCRIPTION:
Phil Circle shares a song he wrote about being prescribed Librium and the side-effects associated with it, known as "The Librium Shuffle." An anti-seizure medication used for patients of alcohol abuse during detox, Phil was on it while undergoing in-patient treatment for the same. While in the facility, he wrote this tune and shared it with his fellow patients. As quick as he returned home, he went live and made this video.
Phil Circle firmly believes that a sense of humor is necessary to contend with the tremendous suffering, and attached stigma, that patients of alcohol and drug addiction deal with. He takes his recovery very seriously, but will quickly crack a joke to ease tension over the subject of addiction. The more everyone can talk about it, the better, the more likely those who suffer will feel comfortable opening up and talking about it, and get the help they need.
