Rack demo - Lexicon PCM 80 + Eventide H3000 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Mar 01, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
A couple of months ago I picked up a Lexicon PCM-80 to add to my ever expanding rack of outboard gear. I'd been after one for a while and had read all the hype.....

Well, it doesn't disappoint. It really does sound massive. The reverbs are so spacious and sound like a million dollars.

I had some time to myself the other day and was just mucking about with my gear and so I decided to put together a video to showcase and share some of the sounds you can get with the Lexicon and my other classic piece of gear....the Eventide H3000.

So here is a series of clips showing what I was up to that day. All pretty much spur of the moment stuff. I honestly haven't scratched the surface with these units in this video and could easily fill a couple of hours worth of audio with them. I decided to give it a rest at a little over 7 mins.

Hopefully Youtube hasn't crushed all the goodness out of the sound in the video and you can get a feel for the quality of audio that these processors produce!..... I fear however, that some of the high end frequencies and subtle details (the magic) may have been lost in the compression and transcoding that youtube applies.
I hope not and can only say it really did sound amazing when I recorded it.
