Tim and I are calling ourselves Then In Now as we are endeavoring to resurrect some of our favorite songs from a few decades ago. Believe it or not...and the realization of it just hit me recently...anyone born when GNR released this song would now be in their early 20s! (Where has the time gone?)

We are really excited to have MarkE from EMP join in with us on this project. His really dynamic bass chops really nudge this thing over the top for Tim and I, and Mark is so insightful that we always get a technical education by simply watching him play. BIG BIG THANKS to Mark for jumping in with us on this.

And a HUGE ATTA BOY for Tim for doing such a great job on the drums. You wouldn't know to watch him work that he just recently came back to playing after a 15 year break from it, would you?

This song project is a major milestone for us as it marks Tim's debut in video. Tim and I have been recording songs together since last August (2008) as a part of his getting back into the saddle. We have several pure audio tracks posted on our myspace account www.myspace.com/theninnow. Come visit us next time you're surfing around on myspace...friend requests are certainly welcome.

One small disclaimer: I KNOW that I'm not Slash...I KNOW I'm not as good at playing as Slash...and I KNOW that I didn't play Slash's riffs just like he does. The only thing about him that I could do to resemble him is to have a cigarette hanging out of my mouth as I played his parts...which I did just for the heck of it...HAHAHA. Slash is a great player and I hope that all of you Slash fans won't be offended or turned off with the way I've rendered his playing. This was a really fun project and all of us had a blast doing it.

We appreciate your viewing and rating.

Peace, Over
