PUBLISHED:  Jan 31, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
I have now written a folk story about how the khaen came to be. If you are interested in reading my book please click this link to amazon books- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QRF8NJ2

This is original Lao traditional folk music without any kind of electronic instruments. Khaen with Lum is the real authentic Lao music. This was all spur of the moment and was not rehearsed. Jonny just met with this family and decided to just jam along for fun. This is the younger sister Aoy Jai of Si Am Phay. This melody is Lum Tang Vai. The Lum Tang Vai ลำตังหวาย rhythm in Laos is slower of that in Esan (Northeast Thailand) It has been said that Lum Tang Vai comes from a tribe in Laos called the "Katang."
