DESCRIPTION:
Rasta Woman ; the true-story of a Rastaman in search of his Queen. Syd Perry sings about his own personal struggle to find a cultured Empress in Babylon, in this Rocksteady meets Rockers(Roots Rock Reggae) ballad.

Recorded with strictly acoustic instruments, this is Syd Perry's first production with a backing band, which was assembled with some of Vancouver's finest Reggae musicians.

Rasta Woman was recorded in Vancouver, British Columbia on January 9th & 30th, 2016. The song was recorded by Elisa Pangsaeng at Monarch Studios. The track was then mixed by Patrick Watson Quine (who also played, piano, lead guitar, tambourine and produced the track) at Watson Unlimited Music. Then finally mastered by Andre Doucette in Toronto, Ontario.

The single was released on iTunes, Spotify & Amazon worldwide in Spring 2016 on Royan Roots Publishing Label. Following the release of the single, the official music video was captured at Cypress Falls, North Vancouver by Stuart Candiah. Interview video also by Stuart Candiah.
