Endliche Automaten - Laptoporchester Berlin

interprets and re-constructs electro-acoustic pieces
of contemporary audio art and electronic pop music. The musicians
form an ensemble of notebooks, each functioning like an instrument.
The combination of this multi-coherent network of sounds, the latest software,
and versatile audio systems continually opens up new possibilities for interpretation.
The fundamental idea behind the Endliche Automaten / Laptoporchester is to create and maintain
an extensive repertoire of electronic, electro-acoustic and audio-visual compositions -
which can be presented live in changing constellations, just what a traditional
ensemble does. In the transition to visual art, self-images form an integral
element of Laptop's stage performances. Hence the Laptoporchester Berlin
is permanently experimenting with different configurations of sound and vision.

Das Laptop Orchester Berlin spielt, dekonstruiert und rekonstruiert seit Jahren Stücke aus den
Bereichen "Neue Musik", "Elektroakustik" und "Electronica" - experimentelle, Noise- oder
Avantgarde-Musik in Berlin und Europaweit. Die sechs Spieler und ihre Laptops, sowie Solisten und
Videokünstler kreieren eine Klang-Bild Symbiose dicht an der Grenze zwischen Orchesteraufführung,
Theater, Performance und Konzert.
Nach personeller Verkleinerung und einer Neustrukturierung hin zu einem Ensemble in der jeder Mitspieler
(bei Bedarf) kreativ am Entwicklungsprozess von Stücken mitwirkt, spielt das Laptop Orchester Berlin
in Zukunft unter dem Namen "Endliche Automaten".
