The MXR Custom Shop La Machine is based on a vintage, analog circuit from the 70's. Compared to 60's era fuzzes, La Machine produces a higher gain tone with smooth sustain and a fierce attack that makes itself heard in a band mix. The Octave switch let's you choose either thick, hard hitting fuzztones or an octave up fuzz that comes with a unique range of voices that span from a smooth and synthy to more metallic ring mod textures. Plus, La Machine is a fuzz with ample output so it won't bury your signal and the tone sweep maintains the low end even in higher settings. The MXR Custom Shop CSP203 is wired for true bypass and draws very little current which is good news for both your 9V battery or any standard DC power supply.
