DeStijl fuses dark dance with melodic pop-rock. Formed in France in1995 by Pascal DeStijl and John Cleary, the band released their award-winnning first album "DeStijl" in 1997. This success was closely followed by the experimental "trip factor" EP in 1998, and the crowd-pleasing album "de:construction" in 1999, featuring the otherworldly vocals of Norweigian Agnete Thuland.

In 2000, Pascal DeStijl took time out from making music to launch his underground label, Hydrophonics. Hydrophonics' roster now includes nationally recognised bands such as Lady Palavas, S, Absinthe Provisoire and Spayroll.
In 2008, burning with inspiration, Pascal expanded the DeStijl sound by engaging Fred Vernay and Patrice Robert on vocals and guitar respectively both ex Effet Papillon, Chris Castejon on bass and Laurent Guillot,The Chase, on drums.
Bursting with 21st century dystopia, radiating dark melodies and thundering with new blood, DeStijl released their latest album in 2011 to widespread critical acclaim.
They're now playing this album live with a new line-up, featuring Eric Manchon on Drums. On stage, their set is revealed to be a furious rock dance machine.

Indie-rock band based in Montpellier, France, DeStijl released their concept-album "the White Stripes" in 2011. With this album, they proposed a crossover concept, between Depeche Mode and Joy Division.

Last winter, the band entered the studio in Manchester with Yves Altana as producer to record their follow-up album, featuring songs honed on stage this time. Two guest stars answered the call and give their approval for a featuring : Julie Gordon on backing vocals and Peter Hook on bass.

DeStijl is now moving towards a dance-rock which will be a new step in the band's history.
