La Comuna tiene ya una larga trayectoria en la escena del Reggae en México, surgiendo en 1998 cumple ahora casi una década haciendo de este genero, su medio predilecto de expresión. Comunicación de una cultura de respeto e igualdad, asi como la difusión de mensajes de paz y armonía universal, son la temática elegida, y a traves de nuestra música cadenciosa se intenta alcanzar todo oido presto a escuchar el comunicado Comuna. Hoy presentamos "NATURA", nuestro segundo álbum coproducido por Toy Hernandez, Sacha Triujeque (productores de Gustavo Cerati, Ely Guerra, Sargento Garcia, entre muchos otros) Hans Mues (productor de Yerberos, Antidoping, Natalia Lafourcade, entre otros) Alfonso Herrera (productor de Celso Piña y Bamboo entre otros) y Alexis Chacón (bajista de La Comuna), fusionando ritmos como el bossanova, jazz, funk, y por supuesto reggae.

La Comuna has been one of the leading reggae bands in Mexico since the late nineties, and has built a history of almost a decade making of this musical genre their favorite medium of expression. The band has master along the years, the perfect fusion of a wide mosaic of rhythms and musical influences including jazz, funk, soul, and naturally reggae roots, turning into the finest and most versatile eclectic reggae ensemble in Mexico and central America.
La Comuna was originated in Mexico City in 1998, and was immediately incorporated into the razteca movement, one of the most important and renowned reggae scenes in Latin America at the time, making its official debut in the 4th Razteca Festival, a massive concert with an audience of twenty thousand people. Between 1998 and 2000, the band toured the Mexican countryside, as well as numerous venues of their hometown, the largest capital of the world. In 2001, La Comuna releases its first album Vibraliviana, recorded in Foro Alicia, featuring popular tunes like "Jamming por la Paz" "Buscando fe", "Para", and "Reggae Dosis". They continue promoting their music, touring the vast republic north to south, east to west, playing from small venues to massive concerts, sharing stage with super stars such as Jimmy Cliff, Ervin "Don Carlos" Spencer (Black Uhuru), Steel Pulse, Burning Spear, Pato Banton, Pericos, Los Cafres, Cultura Profética, Gondwana, Maldita Vecindad, Julieta Venegas, Control Machete, Cafe Tacuba among the most important.
Today we are presenting Natura, our second album, co-produced by Toy Hernandez and Sacha Triujeque, (two of the most important music producers in Mexico, who have recorded figures like Manu Chao, Sergeant Garcia, Gustavo Cerati, Calle 13, Cypress Hill among others), Alfonso Herrera (Celso Piña), Hans Mues(Natalia Lafourcade, Yerberos), and Alexis Chacon.
La Comuna is nowadays more willing to take its music beyond borders than ever before, and very soon will be touring near you.
