Lachi has been tearing up the New York City scene with her stirring blend of pop, rock and soul since she hit the stage in 2007. The multi-talented singer/songwriter and performer takes her music to the next level with anthemic tunes, an affirmative celebration of life driven by soaring, instantly catchy hooks. It exhorts listeners to accept others; to live, and to love life. Her eclectic tracks deliver bright pop melodies, driven by phat rock guitar riffs, touches of funk and electro, and a hint of ska which showcase Lachi's powerful vocals.
Lachi demonstrates her ongoing quest to improve her life and the lives of those around her through her music, evident in the track 'Bug Out.' " 'Bug Out' describes where I'm at in life right now," Lachi says. "I continue to turn negative situations into positive experiences, and this song highlights that. Jaime Diaz, my bass player, and I collaborated on the music."
Until recently, Lachi and her band - Jaime Diaz, bass; Micah Banner-Baine, violin; Eric Tisbe, guitar; Eddie Juhn, drums; and Lachi herself on keyboards – played as 'Lachi.' On her new album, Lachi debuts a new radio-friendly urban-influenced pop sound and a new band name – Lachi and Meridian Gold.
Lachi's unerring talent for consistently exceptional songwriting and mesmerizing, stellar performance has landed her on the CW Morning News, Oprah Radio, The Onion/AV, The Deli Magazine, and a host of others along with Major/commercial online, TV and radio airplay. The band has opened up for national and international acts, and has performed high-energy, impassioned performances at such festivals as SxSW, the CMJ Music Marathon and many other fests, conferences, colleges, and world-class venues.
"My influences are a grand ol' mess of The Beatles, Radiohead, Bjork, Smashing Pumpkins, Lauryn Hill, Ella Fitzgerald, and Mozart. My music is a combination of rock and pop with a hint of soul and a bit of jazzy scatting. What's most important is that the lyrics convey a message of truth, growth, poetry and reality."

"Lachi plays bright, soulful, piano-driven pop and cathartically sings about perseverance.a stirring album."
