Nataly’s Corner is proud to feature contemporary smooth jazz music from jazz musician Adam Hawley’s new album titled “Just the Beginning”. I know two things about Adam Hawley…that I didn’t before (1) he’s an awesome guitarist, and (2) he’s a smart musician. Any musician producing a debut album that can get some of Jazz’s best of “Who’s Who” to be on their debut album has what it takes. The album is a list of well-known jazz “who’s who” such as saxophonist Michael Lington [on my favorite track here], Gerald Albright; Brian Culbertson; Euge Groove; Eric Darius; and Tracy Carter. Adam also enlisted the help of his wife, Kat Hawley, as vocalist on “Love Song”. It might interest you to know that Hawley’s album was just released in March of this year and was at #1 on the Billboard Chart for 2 weeks. The track “35th Street with saxophonist Eric Darius has already reached #1 on Allen Kepler’s Smoothjazznetwork Top 20 list of smooth jazz songs.

Adam Hawley started working towards his music career in Portland, Oregon before moving to California in 2002. While working toward his Doctorate of Musical Arts in Studio/Jazz Guitar, Adam devoted his time between expanding his music skills and instructing pop-rock guitar courses, as well as conducting masterclasses at USC [University of Southern California]. In August 2015, Adam signed with Kalimba Music label and began working towards his debut album. The names of Artists that he has worked with is vastly large and includes such heavy hitters as Lalah Hathaway; Jennifer Lopez; Peter White; Jessy J; Kenny Latimore; Althea Renee; Joss Stone; Phil Perry; Chic Corea; Keiko Matsui; Eric Benet; and Kirk Whalum, to name a few. “Just the Beginning” is Adam Hawley’s debut album and I’m most definitely sure that we will be hearing more great contemporary jazz from this very talented guitarist/musician.
