DESCRIPTION:
My take on epic/folk metal - with a philosophical message.
Painting in the background is by Peder Balke I think - don't know the title unfortunately.
Lyrics inspired by P. W. Zapffe's essay "The Last Messiah" (1933).
Did you see
At the dawn of our creation
How we dwelt
'neath the world in peace
The splitting of mind
Causing unruly temper and,
Matter suddenly
Took on a form,
In time...
Cast out of
The silent calm
Finitude,
Perception did embalm
Catastrophe
Broken life
Souls did writhe
When eyes lit up the night
Wish for morrow
To be forever
Symbols crushed by matter
Never resting
Always nesting
In the cradles of culture
Inebriation
Sublimation
Opiates or spirits
Darkened hoping
Delighted glooming
For ways to not be-in-being
