We challenged nearly 200 musicians to 'be a hero' for BBC Children in Need. So the BBC Philharmonic and The Hallé orchestras joined forces with ten of the UK's best young singers and conductors Sian Edwards and Clark Rundell for an exciting Radio 3 fundraiser.

Composer Steve Pycroft put together two tracks combining the song 'Wings' by girl-band Little Mix with Wagner's 'Ride of the Valkyries', and One Direction's 'What Makes You Beautiful' with Verdi's 'Anvil Chorus'. Watch what happened behind the scenes.
