Komposti Sound, the number 1 and hardest working reggae sound system in Finland, was formed in Helsinki in 2001. Consisting of five members, the sound plays regular all over Finland as well as having played in Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Norway, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, France, Italy, Russia, the Czech Republic and China. Komposti play live on the radio every monday 2000-2200 on Radio Helsinki, 88,6 MHz (also broadcast live on Radio Helsinki website). Currently Komposti is best known as the promoters of the 1 dance in Helsinki, Reggae Sundays. Running since 2007, the weekly club at Redrum has hosted dozens of international and local sound & artist guests and is the spot in Helsinki to enjoy fresh & classic dancehall reggae music on a proper sound system.
Komposti recently won a big clash in Biel, Switzerland - we took the trophy home defeating Vertex (CAN/JA), Burndownsound (JPN) and Sovereign (UK). Komposti also has 3 Finnish soundclash championship titles, the last one from the last Finnish soundclash championship in 2007.
