Between Heaven & L.A.
The Stars Of Old Mexico

Though I've never actually lived in Bakersfield (having grown up in a different part of the state), I have always been proud of my California country music heritage. From the rise of the "Singin' Cowboy" via the silver screen of Hollywood in the 30's, to the advent of the "Country Rock" movement in L.A. in the late 60's, to of course the "Bakersfield Sound" in the 50's & 60's that spawned the likes of country music legends Buck Owens & Merle Haggard and many many others that time (& radio) have forgotten. I have always had reverence for that heritage and have strived to keep that tradition alive in my brand of honky tonk country music. I have a lot of people to thank for what and who I am as an artsit - especially those folks (all over the world, particularly in texas) who have given my debut CD, "King of the Thrift Store Cowboys" a home and an honored place in their record collections, and have made it a part of their daily country music listening pleasure. I hope this new album will match or surpass the quality (and enjoyment) of that first effort, and show in some way, growth and evolution as an artist. As always...thanks (again), from the bottom of my honky tonk heart!
