Sivert Bjørdal was born in 1959 and raised on gard in Bjørdalen, Ørsta on Sunnmøre. Growing up was very marked by song and music.

Sivert got an early interest in music. It all started when he borrowed his uncle's guitar, he was 12 years old and learned his first. He spent a lot of time in the guest room with song and guitar. It started with show season, but moved on to country when he was 20 years old. Bjørdal did not start actively until he was 25 years old. As a vocalist in the "DIRTY CREEK BAND", the band was started in 1989 and quickly gained entry into the country environment. Sivert started as a solo artist in 1996. He traveled to his first international country festival with the band "Visagino country" in Lithuania in 1997. There they played for 25000!

Sivert has three children. They are now grown up and have and got the music in their blood. Arthur-Johan plays among others in "Vassendgutane" which has become very popular in Norwegian country.

There is a lot of Hank Williams on the repository. Bjørdal likes his lyrics but performs them in his own way. He also sings just as much modern country, as well as self-produced songs.

Bjørdal released his first CD in 2004. This was a single with 4 songs. He has come out with the album "Lonesome Sound of Sivert Bjørdal - Pure Country".
