DESCRIPTION:
I have lived with "Shenandoah" for over fifty years, since we sang in the third grade. I was inspired to make a guitar version when I heard Keith Jarrett's haunting rendition on "The Memory at Night, With You" CD. The background here is not, of course, the Shenandoah Valley, but my own "backyard" in the "Czech Switzerland" National Park, in the north of the Czech Republic. My Lowden guitar is in its favorite tuning: C G D G A D.
