Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary, politician, and philanthropist who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.

"Mandela" was written by Terry Wollman and Keb' Mo' for Terry's 2011 "Buddha's Ear" album. This most recent performance is posted in honor of the life, and work, of Nelson Mandela. The band features Terry (guitar) along with Greg Manning (piano), Reggie McBride (bass), Ricky Lawson (drums), and Ramon Yslas (percussion). It was recorded live at Spaghettini in Seal Beach, California by Q (engineer).

Nelson Mandela was a humanitarian, activist, and visionary.
