Karandila Gypsy Brass Orchestra - Comandante Che Guevara [Balkan Trip Vol. 1: 3/16] - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 02, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
This song was made in 1994, Stara Zagora (BG).

After the Soviet Union collapsed in 1990, the Western Europeans came into contact with the Eastern Europeans. This was the moment Karandila (the short nickname for the most popular Bulgarian balkan band ever) became famous in the European Union. Although the band members believe that the communist era was terrible, they think it became more terrible when Bulgaria became a capitalistic chaos. The communist era was a melancholy time. That's why their songs usually carry a communist title. Because of the fact Che Guevara was a communist from Cuba, the band tried to make latin. However, one can hear the band hadn't been in contact with Latin before 1990. Journalism called the song a successful European version of Latin.
