"Your new favorite band = goodbyemotel" The Brag,Sydney Australia

"Dive into the latest four-tracked People, a collection that reveal a band ready, willing and able to build their creations to a magnificent climax. graceful, cinematic rock bulging with gritty and grounded guitar riffs and massively hooky chorus harmonies" Direct Current Music

goodbyemotel have just released their new EP "People". Recorded by the band in a beach shack on the Australian coast. The Ep is currently getting played on US College radio appearing in numerous top 20 play lists and international music blogs.

They recently returned from the US playing at CMJ NYC for second year in a row followed by a string of US dates including debuting their unique 3D live video concept show in New York which included a quirky show in a gallery window. They performed on major US political website/blog Huffington Post and other music conferences.

Fronted by 21 year old Swedish/Australian singer/guitarist Gustaf Sjodin Enstrom along with Aussies Tom Marks, Scott Pioro, David Schmidt and New Yorker Paul Amorosee, they all spent 6 months living together in late 2011 and early 2012 based in New York writing and recording their new album with producer Kevin Killen (U2, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush). They toured across the US garnering spins on US College radio, international music blogs and back home in Australia. They also completed a residency at New York's Rockwood Music Hall, were they have been invited back for a 6 month residency in 2013.

This summer their song "Dancers and the posers" off the current People Ep will be featured in major car brand Chrysler's national TV ad campaign. Their music has also appeared on TV shows such as GOSSIP GIRL, COVERT AFFAIRS and SUITS, the feature film "Summer Coda".

goodbyemotel started to take shape after members kept crossing paths in the local Melbourne music scene. They soon realized they all shared the same musical concepts and ideas. Not long after goodbyemotel released their debut EP "Information" which started the ball rolling for the band.

Their second EP "end/play" was recorded in an old church converted into a studio in Melbourne with producer Kalju Tonuma (Crowded House, Evermore) The EP received some amazing reviews such as "If this EP doesn't conquer the world then there is seriously something wrong" Jeff Jenkins Howzat

Their debut album was the self titled goodbyemotel which was three years in the making, also starting out in a beach house on the Victorian great ocean road and finished off at renowned Sing Sing studios in Melbourne. Following the albums release the song "Watching you" won a song competition in the US and also featured in the "End child slavery" national TV and MTV campaigns.

Storm Thorgerson, the album designer who created album sleeves for most of Pink Floyd's covers including the classic "Darkside of the moon" who after listening to their music and meeting the band, has completed goodbyemotel's artwork for their upcoming second album due out in early 2013. Being huge Pink Floyd fans, this was a major coup for the guys.

goodbyemotel are now back in Australia to tour the EP in early 2013.
