DESCRIPTION:
I made this using my Fostex MR-8 Digital 8-track recorder, my Jay Turser JT-280 guitar through my Jimi Hendrix Experience effects pedal by Digitech, a Shure Microphone also through the Hendrix effects pedal for distortion, Guitar Pro 5 and and Julius Monk's GP5 tab of New Order playing New Dawn Fades cover featuring Moby, Billy Corgan, John Fruciante, Stephen Morris that he posted on Ultimate Guitar.com.
I think it turned out OK- I'd like to know what all the Joy Division fans think that listen to this.
I am playing in the left channel and the vocal.
Any guitar players not a member of Ultimate-Guitar.com should join- it;s a great community and has a lot of resources and plenty of help if you need it or want to give it.
I wish I had found Ian Curtis and Joy Division back in the mid 70's- I am sure they'd have had an effect on my musical habits.
Check out a bio I just found at http://www.enkiri.com/joy/joy_division.html .
I hadn't done much with music since 1979 until about 2004 when my wife got me a 12-string electric for Xmas. She is an excellent musician and can be found in my friends listing.
Hope you enjoy the song. It sure is taking long enough to upload!
