DESCRIPTION:
Osvaldo Hernandez and Juan Carlos Bonifaz play as a marimba duet 'O Trenzinho do Caipira', composed by Heitor Villa-Lobos in 1930. The two Mexican artists honour the Brasilian composer and his song which imitates the small, country train which runs through the Brazilian countryside. Originally written for an orchestra, then transposed for the cello, piano and even choir, the piece has a new life played on this beautiful South American instrument.

Osvaldo Hernandez et Juan Carlos Bonifaz jouent ensemble à la marimba 'O Trenzinho do Caipira', composé par Heitor Villa-Lobos en 1930. Les deux Mexicains rendent un hommage au compositeur brésilien et son morceau qui imite 'le petit train des gens de la campagne' à l'intérieur des terres Brésiliennes. Originellement écrit pour orchestre, puis transcrit pour violoncelle, piano et même pour voix, le morceau renait sur ce bel instrument d'Amérique du Sud.

De twee Mexicanen brengen zo hulde aan de Braziliaanse componist en zijn stuk dat 'het kleine treintje van de Braziliaanse plattelansmensen' in het binnenland nabootst. Oorspronkelijk geschreven voor orkest, daarna getranscribeerd voor cello en piano en zelfs voor koor, wordt het stuk weer nieuw leven ingeblazen op dit prachtige Zuid-Amerikaanse instrument.
